Following the big success on the official page of the German pro league, Beko BBL, the flash based Analyzer-tool of Ballside.com is now also available on the website of the German second and third division, die Junge Liga.

The Analyzer-application is used to visualize and compare the game statistics. It can be found below the boxscore statistics. There are many different ways to compare the statistics, i.e. field goals, freethrows, fouls or the consideration by different positions, quarters or starters and bench player rsp.

From NOW on, the popular basketball statistics analysis tool “Analyzer” runs in Flash. Many new Flash functions lead to an improved clarity and ease of operation. The new attractive display also features a good overview on graphs with multiple data (e.g. complete season) and additional information via Tooltip Mouseover (opponent, date, points) provide direct access to each graph.

Today I want to tell you about a website, BallSide.com, I’ve discovered some time ago. BallSide.com was developed at the German Sports University in Cologne and has been online since early 2010.
Disclosure: I’ve been provided with a scout account to have a close up look at their offered service! Nonetheless this will not affect my opinions I will be sharing with you in the following articles.
In short, coaches can use this web-based service easily to organize their teams, analyze detailed player and team statistics, and save a lot of time by doing this. For example, it is no longer necessary to create elaborate mailing lists, only to find out that the e-mail address of a player is wrong and you are not able to get important information out to the right place.
